Double Vision: The character begins seeing double, making it challenging to navigate and interact with their surroundings. Objects may appear duplicated or slightly out of place, leading to humorous or confusing situations.
Euphoria of the Senses: Colors appear more vivid, sounds become richer, and tastes are more intense. The character might become fascinated with mundane objects or entranced by music and art.
Time Perception Shift: Time seems to slow down or speed up for the character. A few minutes might feel like hours, or hours pass by in what feels like moments, causing them to lose track of time.
Memory Lapses: Short-term memory becomes unreliable. The character might forget what they were saying mid-sentence or repeat actions, leading to comedic or frustrating scenarios.
Uncontrollable Laughter: They find everything amusing and burst into laughter at inappropriate times, which could lighten the mood or cause offense, depending on the situation.
Altered Perception of Size: Objects and people may appear larger or smaller than they truly are, affecting how the character interacts with their environment.
Physical Sensations: They might feel lighter than air or as heavy as stone. This could lead them to attempt actions like jumping great heights or struggling with simple movements.

Hooks
(These are merely examples to give you an idea to get you in the door, feel free to get creative a bit!)
“They said there was a place in Ishgard where no one asks where you’re from, only how they can help.”
Your character has fled war, political unrest, or even poverty—be it from Garlemald, Dalmasca, or the Brume itself. Word of a humanitarian group called the Frost Moon Order reaches them through whispers in a tavern or a passing merchant. With little to lose and hope to gain, they seek shelter, healing, or purpose.
“Ancient wards. Esoteric tomes. Why is this group of adventurers in possession of secrets even the Studium whispers about?”
Your character hears rumors of the Order's dealings with lost relics, forgotten magics, or Void-touched anomalies. Curiosity draws them to investigate… and they may find themselves drawn to the cause along the way.
“Your sister mentioned them in her last letter—‘They saved us in the Brume when no one else would.’”
Someone close to your character has already been touched by the Order’s efforts: healed by their mages, protected in a riot, or fed during a famine. Curious or grateful, they arrive at the estate with questions… or a desire to serve.
“The tavern was quiet when you arrived, but the stew smelled better than anything you’ve had in moons.”
Drawn in by the scent of food and laughter echoing out from the Order’s public-facing tavern in Ishgard, your character may stop by for a drink, a warm meal, or a place to dry off. The staff are friendly. The patrons varied.
A moonlit crest stamped on thick parchment. Tacked to a lamppost in Ul’dah, flapping in the heat.
“Seeking those who wish to do good. Aid the hungry. Shelter the lost. Stand against injustice.
Frost Moon Order – Now accepting volunteers, tradesfolk, and warriors alike. Inquire at the Ishgardian estate.”
“You don’t remember much after the ambush—just a woman with red hair, and a moon sigil on her cloak.”
Gravely injured in the wilds or left for dead by bandits, your character was rescued and healed by members of the Order. They were gone before you awoke, but the insignia they left behind becomes your only lead—and a new path forward.
“You’re not a warrior. You’re not a mage. You just want to help… and that was enough for them.”
Not every recruit is a hero. Your character may be a cook, an apothecary, an animal handler, or someone who just wants to feel like they matter. The Order takes all kinds—and maybe, just maybe, that’s what makes them strong.
“You heard the name again: the Order who stood against the same slavers who once owned you.”
Driven by vengeance or justice, your character seeks those who share their mission. The Frost Moon Order’s reputation for hunting down traffickers, corrupt magistrates, or Garlean remnants leads them to a doorstep of allies—or possibly rivals.
“You need somewhere quiet. Somewhere with people who understand what it means to live with power… and not be consumed by it.”
Possibly haunted by a pact, a forbidden magic, or a legacy they cannot shake, your character seeks understanding. They’ve heard whispers that the Order doesn’t fear the darkness—only those who use it to harm the innocent.
“The Brume is freezing, and you’ve seen the same red-haired woman hauling blankets every week.”
Maybe you’re a local. Maybe you just arrived in Coerthas. Either way, you’ve noticed the Order’s presence in the lower wards—offering food, clothes, and healing for nothing in return.
A passing member may ask if you want to help distribute supplies. Or maybe you decide on your own: it’s time to give back.
